DMCA Notice
Last updated 2026-06-04
STAKEWAR respects intellectual property rights. If you believe an image on the grid infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
What we can do
On a valid notice we will call the on-chain adminSetImage(cellId, "", "DMCA") function to remove the infringing image reference from the grid. The cell owner keeps their stake; only the image is cleared.
We cannot un-pin the underlying file from IPFS — that is a public, content-addressed network. We can only stop displaying it on stakewar.com.
Required information for a takedown notice
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material — specifically the cell ID (e.g.
#147) and the IPFS hash if you have it. - Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How to submit
Send the notice to our Designated Agent (email TBD when entity is formed). In the interim, file a report from the cell’s detail modal selecting CSAM / illegalcategory and include “DMCA” in the details, along with the information above.
Counter-notice
If your image was removed and you believe the takedown was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including:
- Identification of the material removed and its prior cell location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake.
- Your name, address, phone, email, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district.
- Your signature.
On a valid counter-notice, we may restore the image after 10 business days unless we receive notice that the claimant has filed suit.
Repeat infringers
We may, at our discretion, refuse to render uploads from wallet addresses with a history of multiple valid DMCA takedowns.
