Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-06-04

By connecting a wallet to stakewar.com or interacting with the TheGrid smart contract (the “Service”), you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with all local laws, including those governing crypto-asset use, gambling, or skill-based games.

2. Content rules

When uploading an image for a cell, you confirm that the content is yours to publish and does not include:

  • Sexual content or nudity (NSFW)
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to authorities
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats
  • Incitement of self-harm
  • Content that infringes third-party copyright or trademarks
  • Personal data of others without consent
  • Material illegal in your or the operator’s jurisdiction

Uploads pass through automated moderation (OpenAI) and may be reviewed by human moderators. We may replace or remove any image at our discretion via the on-chain adminSetImage function. Your USDC stake on a moderated cell remains untouched.

3. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for the wallet you connect, the private keys you control, the images you upload, and any USDC you deposit. Lost keys mean lost access — we cannot recover them. Transactions on-chain are irreversible.

4. Enforcement

We reserve the right to (a) remove or replace any image, (b) pause new claims via the pauseClaims contract function, (c) refuse to render content from a specific address in our front-end. The on-chain ownership state and locked funds remain as recorded by the contract.

5. Disclaimer

The Service is an experimental Web3 game, provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Smart contracts may contain bugs. We are not liable for any loss of funds, image data, or other harm arising from use of the Service.

The Service is currently deployed on testnets only. No real-money obligations. When/if deployed to mainnet, a separate disclosure will be issued.

6. DMCA

We comply with the DMCA. If you believe content infringes your copyright, see /dmca.

7. Governing law

To be specified once the operating entity is finalised. Provisionally: construed in accordance with the law of the operator’s primary residence; disputes resolved in good faith.

8. Changes

We may revise these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
